Why Rockford Dance Company?
Rockford Dance Company is a 501c3 organization that has brought high quality dance education to the Rockford Area since 1974. Our dance classes focus on building dance skills in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop in a noncompetitional environment. Along with this, we offer many performance opportunities including a chance to perform in our annual Nutcracker, which takes place in a regional theatre with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.
Rockford Dance Company has a leveled student division with intermediate- advanced dancers entering our pre-professional ballet company at ages 13 and up. We are proud to offer some of the most affordable pre-professional training within the state.
Frequently Asked Questions
When can I register for classes?
We will announce when our sessions open up! Once enrollment is open, you are welcome to enroll at any time. If enrolling mid-program, please contact info@rockforddancecompany.com to get prorated tuition.
Do I have to pay the full tuition price if I register after the start date?
No. Our tuition is prorated weekly. You only pay for the classes that you or your dancer take!
What is your Tuition Policy?
Tuition Options:
1) Pay in full at registration. Please contact info@rockforddancecompany.com if you would like this option.
2) Tuition is processed in three equal amounts throughout our semesters. As long as you have a working payment method saved to your account we’ll handle the rest! For example: Spring 2025 Level 1 program costs $450.00 total, that total tuition is then split into three equal amounts of $150.00 which are then processed with your payment method on the pay dates of that semester.
A transfer in classes is allowed. The difference in cost will have to be paid up front (if applicable). Student is allowed 1 transfer per semester.
Can my child make up a class if they are ill, have a prior commitment, etc?
If your child misses a class in their program, we will offer you a make up class in a program that is at an equal or less skill level. This is not always available due to classes that are currently being offered, so a make up class may not always be available.
If an entire class has to be canceled due to weather or otherwise, a makeup class will be scheduled for al students in that class to take.
What happens if a class is cancelled due to poor weather?
A day of classes will be added on to the semester to make up for the missed day.
How do I pay for the class?
Rockford Dance Company uses a system called JackRabbit for all of our families. You are able to pay through the parent portal or by coming into the office during office hours. We accept cash and card.
Do you have a payment plan?
No, we do not offer payment plans. Please contact info@rockforddancecompany.com for any class payments outside of our usually scheduled payments.
My child is almost the age required to enroll. Can I enroll them now?
This is possible in some cases! Please contact info@rockforddancecompany.com if you are having issues with enrollment.
