Taking the Extra Step

The Rockford Dance Company is a pre-professional dance company that focuses on top-level training and multiple performance opportunities. Rockford Dance Company & Apprentices are highly dedicated and train 5 times a week to master technical skills, musicality, and artistry in dance.

Many Rockford Dance Company alumni go on to study dance at the collegiate level.

Athleticism & Artistry

Company and Apprentice dancers take classes in Pointe, Variations, Modern, and Musical Theater. These dancers are required to attend all scheduled classes for their level.

Many of The Company members receive their dance training through the School of Rockford Dance Company and perform at several community events through the City of Rockford. Company and Apprentices members commit to an extensive training program that consists of classes, rehearsals and workshops.

Join the Rockford Dance Company

Auditions for our Company program are held annually, and the contracted commitment is for one year.

Required classes run Monday through Thursday evenings, and Saturday mornings with rehearsals running Saturday afternoons, when applicable.

Company members often perform throughout the community and are the face of the Rockford Dance Company.

Auditions for the 2024/2025 Company will be August 3rd, times TBD. Call our office for more information or register at the portal below starting March 25, 2024.

Dancers are welcome to prepare alongside current company members through June and July at our studio times on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:30. Register for a slot at the button below.
