Meet the teachers:
Christopher Damle
RDC School Director
Christopher Damle started his classical ballet training at age 12 at the School of Ballet Arizona for 3 years, and continued his ballet training at the Miami City Ballet Pre-Professional program for an additional 4 years. In 2018 Christopher joined Milwaukee Ballet’s Pre-Professional program. The following year he began his professional career with Milwaukee Ballet’s 2nd company where he danced with the main company, participated in community outreaches, and performed in various classical and original works. In 2020, Christopher joined Madison ballet company where he continued to dance in various works and begin his teaching experience. In the summer of 2023 Christopher accepted the role of School Director at Rockford Dance Company where he continues to teach, perform and share his love for ballet.
Myca Cumpston
RDC Instructor
Myca Cumpston began her classical ballet training at the American Midwest Ballet School, and had the opportunity to perform alongside the company for three seasons. She continued her training at summer intensives with Ballet Chicago, Richmond Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet. In 2018 she was accepted to Milwaukee Ballet’s Pre-Professional Training Program. While there she performed iconic ballets like Balanchine’s Serenade alongside the second company. Ms. Cumpston joined Madison Ballet in 2019 as a trainee, and was promoted to apprentice in 2020. She danced with Madison Ballet for a total of four years, where she also taught ballet to all ages. Now she is teaching a large range of ages at Rockford Dance Company, and is their Office Manager.
